Dr. Lee is a doctorally prepared Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and currently serves as a primary care provider in Katy, TX, who provides wellness, preventive, and acute and chronic care for the entire lifespan.

She began her nursing career in South Korea several years since 2004 and earned her Master's degree in Family Nurse Practice degree from Texas A&M International University and her Doctoral of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Her research interests are evidence-based diabetes management and diabetes self-management education. 

​

As a registered nurse, she has had various nursing experiences ranging from emergency room units to rehabilitation units. Besides, she has unique experiences as a nursing educator/charge nurse in a U.S. Military Base, Afghanistan from 2012 to 2014, for delivering advanced health care and delivery system to local afghani patients and medical professionals through international development projects for two years in the past.

As an advanced practice provider, she started to work in an internal medicine clinic in Carrollton, TX. She was dedicated to providing wellness, preventive care, and acute and chronic illness for the adult and geriatric populations, including the Korean community, in a culturally sensitive manner. She moved to the Houston area in December 2019 and has joined the Family/urgent care clinic as a provider. Also, she has opened her practice ShineMed primary care since November, 2022.

Over 15 years of her RN and NP background leads her to have good skills and flexible thinking based on a broad understanding of cultural diversity. Her value is that practice is culturally congruent care through a patient-provider trust relationship with the understanding characteristics of culture for patient's health and their well-being.

Dr. Lee is bilingual in English and Korean. She is passionate and dedicated to serving the local community with the best and utmost excellent healthcare. She is an active member of Doctor of Nursing Practice, Inc, AANP, Texas Nurse Practitioner (TNP),  American Diabetes Association (ADA), and  the Association of Diabetes care & Education Specialists (AADE).
